What's on YOUR grill?
Hey, Sassy readers - what do you grill?
Favorite grill food or recipe?
Meat, veggies, pizza, bread, even dessert?
Most unusual thing you've ever grilled?
Gas or charcoal?
Let's hear it - I'm in the mood to grill and I'm guessing the rest of the country is, too. Even thought it's May 1st and there were s*** flurries in Minnesota this morning, we are a positive people.
Thanks, eating pals!

ReplyDeleteMy FAVE marinade for grilled kabobs:
ReplyDeleteI beef rump roast, cubed or chicken breasts, or shrimp.
Place in a large ziploc bag:
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp onion powder
1 garlic clove, minced
Marinate in the bag overnight or 8 hours before.
**I also like to chop up onion wedges, pepper wedges, and whole mushrooms, and marinate them along. Grill for 3-5 min per side. (or broil for the same amount of time)

I have done whole turkeys, tater tots, shish kabobs, ears of corn, and more. I use gas and I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteour grill secrets include: hardwood charcoal plus a few raw hardwood chunks (depends on what we're cooking: alder wood for fish; mesquite for beef; applewood for pork, etc). We do kabobs, fish, burgers (remind me to share my recipe for Turkish seasoned burgers)....pork tenderloin with smoked paprika rub....mmmmm....
ReplyDeleteHot dogs and brats on charcoal. Usually ends up to be carbon on charcoal. End up going out for a pizza.
